Amy Hardin has worked for Thurston Laboratories since 2009. In addition to secretarial duties, she gained experience working in the concrete and soils labs under the guidance of our founder, Dan Thurston, whom she credits with the best supervision in Elko County. As Thurston Laboratories Senior Lab technician, she oversees proper care and preparation of concrete test specimens upon receiving the samples in lab following concrete pours. This includes the dimensioning of cylinders, measuring specific gravities, and preparing them with sulfur mortar as required. She is equally adept in the soils lab, routinely performing and monitoring the complete battery of soils testing offered.

Amy has enjoyed working with our many clients over the years and looks forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new clients as Thurston Laboratories continues to grow.
