Carson Newby is a long-time resident of the Elko area which he now considers home. Carson started with Thurston Testing Laboratory (now Thurston Laboratories, LLC) in 2016 as a field and lab technician and worked in that role for four years under founder Dan Thurston. He left to broaden his experience in construction, mining, and other industries pertinent to the Northeastern Nevada economy. Carson rejoined Thurston Laboratories in early 2024 and has been providing his expertise in operations planning and plant maintenance as well as field and laboratory work. Carson looks forward to spending time on-site, working with and forging relationships with project stakeholders, and helping Thurston Laboratories continue to grow and develop.
