Thurston Laboratories (then Thurston Test Lab) provided concrete testing services for the repaving of approximately 11 miles of Interstate 80 between Elko and Carlin. Acme Concrete Paving of Spokane, WA provided concrete paving services and retained Thurston Laboratories for testing. Thurston Laboratories sampled and tested 264 concrete cylinders for compressive strength and cast 51 beams for flexural strength testing.
